Ubiquity Sprouting has completed the development of a prototype for its germinated plant milk production system to advance the plant-based milk industry.
This new technology merges Ubiquity Sprouting’s specialised craft of germinating beans and seeds with advanced emulsifying technology. It is designed to produce a nutritious, minimally processed plant-based milk made from germinated ingredients.
According to Ubiquity Sprouting, this breakthrough will soon offer consumers a healthier milk alternative.
Germinated plant milks offer a major upgrade over traditional plant-based options. By harnessing the enhanced nutrients released during germination, these milks provide superior health benefits.
The process increases enzyme activity and bioavailability, making germinated plant milk a highly nutritious choice for health-conscious consumers, the agricultural and nutritional solutions provider said.
Unlike traditional plant milk processing, Ubiquity’s proprietary germinated plant emulsifying method preserves maximum nutrients. This results in a milk that’s richer in vitamins, minerals, and natural flavours.
By integrating fresh sprouting with emulsifying systems, Ubiquity streamlines production, delivering nutrient-dense milk with minimal processing.
Additionally, the product boasts a naturally sweet, creamy taste.
Ubiquity Sprouting CEO Michael Lai said: “With our organic plant-germinating-emulsifying system, Ubiquity is bringing a comprehensive solution to the plant-based milk market.
“This holistic approach, from germination to emulsification, enables us to create a high-quality product that’s truly setting a new benchmark in nutrition, freshness, and sustainability.”
These germinated plant milks are ready for production using soy, black/red beans, chickpeas, peanuts, almonds, oats, and buckwheat. The systems range in capacity from as small as 100 litres to as large as 100 tons per hour, all originating from Ubiquity Sprouting’s germination facility.
The agricultural and nutritional solutions provider is set to launch its advanced growing plant germinating-emulsifying system, bringing plant-based nutrition to households, restaurants, and institutions.
In a similar development, in October, US-based Whole Moon unveiled a new line of plant-based beverages, offering a creamy taste and whole protein thanks to its whole ingredient process.
