US-based beverage firm Spindrift Beverage has announced the launch of Spindrift SODA, which it claims is a healthier alternative to traditional sodas.
Made with squeezed fruit, it contains 20% not-from-concentrate juice, providing natural sweetness and flavour.
Spindrift Beverage said that the new better-for-you product has no added sugar, stevia, or prebiotics, differentiating it from other sodas.
The new line features five flavours, which are Concord Freeze, Ginger Ale, Orange Cream Float, Shirley Temple, and Strawberry Shortcake.
According to the beverage firm, every variety contains 20% not-from-concentrate juice, delivering both flavour and sweetness.
The beverage company said that the new product is a healthier alternative to traditional sodas, which often contain over 35g of added sugar. In contrast, Spindrift SODA has less than 8g of naturally occurring sugar from fruit.
Spindrift Beverage founder Bill Creelman said: “The origin of Spindrift SODA came from a simple question: could we take our way of making real ingredient beverages—which we have mastered over the last 15 years—and take it to its most extreme?
“The answer is ‘yes,’ and it’s delicious. Spindrift SODA is our most ambitious product to date. There’s nearly 3/4 of an orange in every can of Orange Cream Float!
“For the first time, Drifters can enjoy bold soda flavour without compromising on ingredients. I’m incredibly proud of the work we put into our new soda, and frankly, I’m blown away by the results.”
Spindrift SODA is now available on the company’s website and Amazon, with select retailers set to carry it later this year.
The beverage company also offers sparkling water nationwide and hard seltzer in select markets.
In August 2024, the brand added a new flavour to its sparkling water line. Spindrift announced the launch of Spindrift Fuji Apple, alongside the return of Cranberry Raspberry.
