Digital health company Parsley Health has partnered with Daily Harvest, a producer of fruits and vegetables, to develop doctor-recommended meals for longevity.
The collaboration is intended to provide consumers with nourishing, easy-to-prep food options that promote the intake of essential nutrients associated with longevity.
Under the partnership, both firms will produce plant-based antioxidants, known for their ability to reduce oxidative stress associated with aging, as well as polyunsaturated fats to combat inflammation and promote heart health and metabolism.
Additionally, customers can expect ingredients inspired by the dietary patterns of the healthiest and longest-living populations.
Parsley Health founder and co-CEO Robin Berzin said: “Everywhere we turn there’s a new way to ‘hack your health.’ But the easiest way to be healthy is to know that food is medicine.
“When you fuel your body with whole, unrefined, unprocessed foods you give your body the building blocks it needs to generate vitality today and a greater healthspan tomorrow.
“At Parsley we’ve helped tens of thousands of people use food alongside medication to achieve optimal health and that’s why we are so excited to partner with Daily Harvest for this Longevity Collection.”
Daily Harvest’s Longevity Collection has been developed in collaboration with Parsley Health’s team of board-certified functional medicine doctors.
The range includes four Smoothies, three oat-based Forager Bowls, five Harvest Bowls, two gluten-free Pastas, and two Soups.
Daily Harvest nutrition adviser Carolina Schneider said: “Good nutrition is at the core of longevity and the foods you consume daily significantly impact your health.
“We know from research that increasing the intake of fruits and vegetables while lowering the consumption of animal protein can significantly lower the risk of disease.
“We are thrilled to partner with Parsley Health on this collection of delicious and easy-to-prep meals and snacks for practically any time of the day.”
