Sustainable nutrition company TurtleTree has announced a multi-year partnership with food and beverage firm Strive to help the latter expand its offerings in the adult and sports nutrition sector.
Currently, Strive offers sustainable, protein-enriched beverages including FREEMILK, a true milk alternative with fermentation-derived protein.
The partnership will help Strive to launch an immunity support beverage aimed at adult nutrition and a ready-to-mix protein powder.
These new products will incorporate TurtleTree’s lactoferrin (LF+), which is said to be the world’s first animal-free lactoferrin. It was launched in March last year.
Through the immunity support beverage featuring LF+, Strive is expected to deliver lactoferrin’s distinct benefits for gut health, iron regulation, and immune support, alongside essential daily vitamins.
TurtleTree CEO Fengru Lin said: “Here at TurtleTree, we are very excited about Strive’s ambitions and goals. We love that they are targeting an industry and segment of a population that is only growing globally and is ripe for more innovation in the market.
“We are looking forward to supporting Strive with our lactoferrin in order to continue providing their target audience with more functional food products to support longevity.”
Strive’s immunity support beverage, featuring LF+, will come in an 8oz carton containing 12-15gm of fermentation-derived whey protein and 250mg of fermentation-derived LF+.
Additionally, it will include a blend of 23 vital vitamins and minerals tailored to meet the needs of aging adults.
Strive CEO Dennis Cohlmia said: “We created these products for a first launch into adult nutrition for consumers who are concerned about longevity and wellness. The health attributes of bovine lactoferrin and colostrum are extensive and becoming more known to the general public.
“Now, we can have an animal-free lactoferrin with prebiotics that is made through precision fermentation, vegan-certified, and is cruelty-free. We’ve known the team at TurtleTree for several years and have worked closely with them as they have developed the LF+.”
