Abbott has announced the expansion of its Pure Bliss by Similac line of organic, European-made infant formulas designed to cater to diverse parental preferences.
Pure Bliss range now includes new European-made and organic products.
The European-made infant formulas include specific ingredient sourcing, featuring either certified organic components or milk from Ireland.
These formulas are supported by Abbott’s commitment to delivering complete infant nutrition inspired by breast milk.
Abbott paediatric nutrition business vice president Misha Pardubicka-Jenkins said: “More parents today are looking for infant formulas with particular milk types, ingredients and formats.
“With the Pure Bliss by Similac line, parents can find what they are looking for whether that’s organic, A2 milk, European-made or liquid, ready-to-feed formulas for convenience – all from an established and trusted brand.”
The Pure Bliss line offers a range of infant formulas tailored to various needs. The Pure Bliss by Similac Irish Farms infant formula provides complete nutrition that is easy for babies to digest.
Made in Ireland, it starts with fresh milk from cows grazing on grassy pastures for most of the year. This formula is produced exclusively at Abbott’s facility in Ireland and imported to the US.
The Pure Bliss by Similac Organic infant formula is a US Department of Agriculture (USDA)-certified organic option that is also easy to digest.
Available in powder form as well as 32-fluid ounce and 2-fluid ounce liquid options, it is the only USDA-certified organic liquid formula available in US retail stores, offering added convenience for feeding.
Other products include the Pure Bliss by Similac Organic with A2 Milk infant formula, another USDA-certified organic option, featuring milk from select cows that produce A2 beta-casein protein. This protein is naturally easy to digest and closely resembles the protein found in breast milk, Abbott said.
Currently, the American healthcare company offers a range of infant formulas to meet various needs. These include formulas designed for infants including those with food allergies and those with sensitive tummies.
Additionally, Abbott offers formulas catering to dietary preferences and a formula that closely resembles breast milk.
In February, the healthcare firm launched the PROTALITY brand to help adults on their weight loss journey.
