International Food Solutions (IFS) has acquired Florida-based Food With Care to address the increasing demand for home-delivered meals tailored to senior and diverse communities.

The strategic acquisition allows IFS to leverage its expertise in culturally inspired, ready-to-serve meals to expand into the healthcare and senior nutrition sectors.

Founded in 2008 by Allan Lam and Lincoln Yee, IFS specialises in producing ethnic meals, including Asian, Indian, Latin, and Mediterranean cuisines.

The meals are supplied to various institutional customers like K-12 schools, long-term care facilities, hospitals, and US military bases.

The company recently invested $65m in a 120,000ft2 production facility in Cleveland, enhancing its capacity to meet diverse foodservice needs.

IFS co-president Lincoln Yee said: “Welcoming Food with Care into the IFS family represents an exciting new chapter as we expand into healthcare and senior services.

“It allows us to extend our culturally inclusive, convenient meal solutions to meet the evolving needs of individuals at every life stage, with the same quality, convenience, and care that define our brand.”

IFS co-president Allan Lam said: “With the senior population rapidly growing and becoming more ethnically diverse, this work has never been more important. This partnership allows us to enhance operations, meet changing needs, and strengthen efficiency.”

Food With Care, established nearly 30 years ago by John Glancey and later joined by Ron Simmons, is known for its dietitian-backed meal services for seniors across Florida.

The company has built a strong reputation for delivering meals that offer both nutrition and a sense of community to its clients.

Following the acquisition, Food With Care’s leadership and staff will collaborate with IFS to ensure a seamless transition.

The companies plan to expand their services nationwide, maintaining a focus on providing high-quality, culturally responsive meals that cater to the needs of diverse populations.

Food with Care president and operating partner Jonathan Dickl said: “Food with Care was looking for a partner that reflected its core values of servant leadership and making a difference in the lives of team members and clients.

“The Food with Care stakeholders are thrilled to join forces with a company like International Food Solutions.”
