Health and wellness firm Immunotec has launched SunRay, a new once-weekly Vitamin D supplement, designed to offer superior health benefits.

The prescription-free supplement features Calcifediol (25-hydroxyvitamin D) (75mcg). It is available in a one-capsule-per-week regimen.

SunRay is now accessible for everyone in the US, through Immunotec only.

The product is designed for individuals who focus on health and seek a more effective way to maintain optimal Vitamin D levels. The compound is key for mood regulation, immune function, hormonal balance, bone health, energy levels, and other functions.

It also boosts serotonin and dopamine production in the body. In addition, SunRay supports thyroid function and helps regulate key hormones related to women’s health.

Furthermore, it helps in immune function, energy levels, bone health, and more.

According to Immunotec, the supplement’s clinically proven formulation delivers fast absorption. This increases Vitamin D levels in less than four hours, without requiring liver conversion.

Its effectiveness is said to be three times more effective than traditional Vitamin D3, the health and wellness firm claimed.

Immunotec CEO Mauricio Domenzain said: “At Immunotec, our mission is to make wellness both effective and accessible.

“SunRay is the result of our collaboration with a leading scientific company, and we are proud to be the first to offer this clinically validated Vitamin D supplement in the US.

“With SunRay, you’ll experience the benefits of rapid, safe absorption along with the convenience of a once-a-week dose, making it simpler than ever to support your health.”

According to Immunotec, the Calcifediol formulation of SunRay works on its own, without requiring additional supplements like calcium or Vitamin K.

The health and wellness firm has 79 patents globally and is known for its flagship product, Immunocal, which is intended for immune support, energy production, and cognitive benefits.

In a similar development, Iceland-based food tech company VAXA Technologies said that its new method to boost vitamin B12 production in Spirulina was found effective in a study.
