Food company Impossible Foods is rolling out a new suite of plant-based meat products at grocery stores in the US over the coming weeks.

The products include the Impossible Meal Makers, Impossible Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets, and Impossible Corn Dogs.

According to Impossible Foods, the products are designed to target back-to-school season.

The plant-based meat products will offer families easy options for weeknight dinners.

The new Impossible Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets product is based on the brand’s Impossible Chicken Nuggets. The nuggets are shaped like Disney characters.

Impossible Foods said these crispy nuggets are ready to eat in minutes, targeting kids and Disney fans.

Each serving contains 10 grams of protein and no cholesterol. They also have 60% less saturated fat than traditional chicken nuggets, the food firm claims.

Impossible Meal Makers offers a new take on Impossible’s flagship Impossible Beef offering.

Each serving provides 19 grams of protein and contains no cholesterol.

The plant-based ground beef product is said to contain 33% less saturated fat than traditional ground beef. It is available in Taco and Italian-Style options.

Additionally, the new Impossible Corn Dogs product is based on Impossible Beef Hot Dogs product. It features the brand’s hot dog wrapped in a golden exterior.

These corn dogs have 0mg of cholesterol and 40% less total fat and saturated fat compared to animal-based corn dogs, according to the American food firm.

Impossible Foods president and CEO Peter McGuinness said: “We’ve been very proud to work with Disney to serve Impossible products across their properties for the past four years, so it was a natural next step to collaborate on a new offering in the grocery aisle.”

Founded in 2011, Impossible Foods aims to create plant-based meat alternatives with a lower environmental footprint. Its products include plant-based chicken, beef, and pork for every meal.

Designed and produced in California and the Midwest, Impossible Foods sources ingredients both locally and globally.

In a similar development, recently, plant-based chicken producer Daring introduced two new vegetarian frozen entrees.
