Tilray Brands’ subsidiary Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods has partnered with bioactives company Brightseed to introduce two new flavours in Organic Bioactive Fiber supplement for gut health.
The second series of Manitoba Harvest’s proprietary Organic Bioactive Fiber will now come in coffee and chocolate flavours.
Both offerings are intended to improve the fibre consumption experience for improved gut health and digestion.
Manitoba Harvest Bioactive Fiber utilises the complete nutritional benefits of organic hemp fibre to promote digestive wellness.
It incorporates Brightseed Bio Gut Fiber, derived from upcycled hemp hulls, which are the outer shells of hemp seeds containing two distinctive bioactives that enhance gut health.
According to Tilray Brands, these products offer advantages such as supporting gut health, encouraging regularity, and prolonging satiety.
In addition, these offerings represent a breakthrough for consumers seeking new solutions to meet their daily fibre needs.
The Chocolate Bioactive Fiber is said to be a comprehensive fibre solution enriched with organic cocoa.
Each serving provides 7gm of fibre to promote healthy digestion and regular bowel movements.
Besides, the Coffee Bioactive Fiber is infused with organic coffee for a flavour boost.
Each serving contains 6gm of fibre and 60mg of caffeine, making it suitable for the morning routine while supporting digestive health and enhancing feelings of fullness.
Manitoba Harvest and Tilray Wellness president Jared Simon said: “As pioneers in the field of functional foods and supplements, Brightseed and Manitoba Harvest are committed to advancing consumer health and well-being.
“Our collaboration continues to yield innovative and consumer-friendly solutions aimed at empowering individuals on their wellness journey.”
Research published in the Journal of Dietary Supplements highlighted the potential of hemp hulls and Manitoba Harvest’s key ingredient, Bio Gut Fiber, in promoting gut health.
The results showed the nutritional value and suggested health benefits of hemp hull bioactives and fibre.
Additionally, a recent pre-clinical study conducted in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Reno, confirmed the prebiotic activity of Brightseed Bio Gut Fiber.
