ModifyHealth, a US-based food-as-medicine platform providing medically customised meals and nutritional counselling, has secured $13.5m in a Series C funding round.

The Series C financing round was led by the Dohmen Company Foundation (DCF), through its Dohmen Impact Investment Fund.

Other participants include existing investors, RC Capital (RCC) and Nashville Capital Network (NCN).

ModifyHealth intends to use the new funding to advance its growth, implement technology advancements and enhance operations to deliver advanced food-as-medicine solutions.

The company aims to widen its reach and expand its capabilities to address chronic disease through advanced, nutrition-based management solutions.

ModifyHealth offers a turnkey food-as-medicine solution for chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, obesity, and irritable bowel syndrome.

It offers customisable meal plans, including Low-FODMAP, Mediterranean, and gluten-free options, are carefully crafted to support the management of various health conditions.

In addition to customised meals, the company offers live nutrition coaching and digitally enabled education, supporting individuals in making lasting health changes.
