US-based wellness and dietary supplement company Safety Shot has announced its plans to launch what it claims to be the world’s first product to reduce blood alcohol content.
The product, named after the company, is designed to lower blood alcohol content by supporting metabolism while boosting clarity, energy, and overall mood.
Safety Shot is anticipated to be launched in the early fourth quarter of this year (Q4 2024), in the form of an on-the-go powder format.
The company said that its research and development (R&D) team has made significant efforts to create a powdered version of its alcohol-reducing nutraceutical.
Safety Shot COO David Sandler said: “Our goal was always to offer Safety Shot in a powder form. It was a battle to create a powdered version as several specific ingredients are tricky to work with for many reasons.
“We are beyond excited to have successfully found a solution that maintains 100% of the efficacy of the world’s first alcohol-reducing product.
“Offering a convenient stick pack is a huge step forward in our R&D processes as we continue to explore extensions for our brand.”
Safety Shot contains the company’s clinically validated formula packed in a convenient stick-pack format, a flexible packaging option with compact dimensions and slender configuration.
According to a Towards Packaging study, the global stick packaging market size accounted for $358.20m in 2024 and is estimated to be worth up to $517.61m by 2031.
Safety Shot said that the stick-pack version will provide more convenience for customers, allowing for more locations, both in stores and across all retailers.
The company intends to offer the alcohol-reducing nutraceutical in a pack of 6 stick packs at select locations, with plans for a single stick option.
Safety Shot CEO Jarrett Boon said: “Powder stick packs work well for anyone on the move. No matter where you are, you will be able to have Safety Shot with you and can lower your blood alcohol content in as little as 30 minutes.
“We look forward to offering this new and easy-to-administer solution for consumers. A powder format will significantly help to broaden our customer base and to mitigate the negative consequences of drinking.”
