US-based healthcare company Scope Health has acquired eye health supplements producer Eyetamins for an undisclosed price.
Eyetamins was founded by Dr. Kaushal Kulkarni, a neuro-ophthalmologist. The company specialises in producing eye supplements designed with clinically supported and carefully sourced ingredients, focusing on promoting eye health and maintaining vision.
Scope Health said that the acquisition represents a key development in its strategy to expand its product range in the field of eye care.
The Eyetamins product line offers a selection of supplements aimed at providing targeted nutrition for eye health and long-term vision support. The formulations utilise ingredients with clinical backing to support eye function and health internally.
The integration of Eyetamins into Scope Health’s operations will further its objective of enhancing well-being through a diverse range of quality products, expanding its capabilities in eye care.
Scope Health said that the acquisition will allow the company to strengthen its focus on eye health supplements and explore further developments in this area.
The healthcare company added that the acquisition will provide customers with access to a more comprehensive selection of products and services across its portfolio, which will include offerings from both the Optase and Eyetamins brands. This integration aims to broaden the range of available options for eye health and vision support.
Additionally, the combined expertise and knowledge of Scope Health and Eyetamins are expected to enhance customer support and improve the overall quality of service. By leveraging the strengths of both companies, Scope Health aims to deliver an improved customer experience, ensuring that clients receive high-quality assistance and care as the two brands integrate further.
Scope Health CEO Tom Freyne said: “I have worked closely with the founder Kaushal and very much believe in this great brand and what Scope can achieve with it in the coming years.
“This acquisition will further strengthen our ability to serve our customer’s needs as supplementation was the missing link in our Optase portfolio and now we are delighted to be included some strong supplements, like Eyetamins Dry Eye Comfort as we know eye care supplements are a foundational therapy in the management of Dry eye in the USA.”
Eyetamins products will continue to be available on the Eyetamins website and through Amazon. Customers can anticipate greater alignment and integration between the Eyetamins, Scope Health, and Optase brands over the coming months, said the healthcare firm.
Kulkarni said: “We are delighted to join forces with Scope Health to contribute to their mission of providing premium products for maintaining optimal eye health.
“This new partnership underscores our shared commitment to eye health innovation and improved patient outcomes. I am excited to be a part of the continuing and future story of Eyetamins as it grows out under the Scope and Optase umbrella.”
