US-based skincare provider Skinbetter Science has introduced BioRewind, a dietary supplement designed to improve skin health by reducing Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGEs).
Glycation, a natural process where sugars bind to proteins like collagen and elastin, results in harmful AGEs that can stiffen these proteins, accelerating visible signs of ageing.
Without intervention, glycated collagen accumulates at an average annual rate of 3.7%.
BioRewind employs unique CORExtract biotechnology, combining rosemary extract and potent bioactive co-factors.
The formulation aims to reverse the cumulative effects of early-stage glycation and skin ageing, promoting healthier and younger-looking skin.
Skinbetter Science CEO Jonah Shacknai said: “The launch of BioRewind marks a significant milestone for skinbetter science and medical grade skincare.
“With BioRewind, we are introducing a new approach to counteract skin ageing by addressing glycation, a lesser-known but extremely critical factor in the skin ageing process.
“We are confident this innovation will redefine how we think about skin health.”
The safety and efficacy of BioRewind were validated in a double-blinded, randomised, placebo-controlled clinical study in 104 patients conducted over 12 weeks.
In the study, BioRewind group showed significant improvements, including a 30% reduction in rough skin texture, a 28% reduction in skin dullness, and a 14% reduction in skin redness.
Also, patients in the BioRewind group experienced a 17% improvement in global skin quality compared to their baseline measurements after 12 weeks.
The study results are statistically significant, highlighting the supplement’s effectiveness.
BioRewind is designed for seamless integration into an individual’s daily routine, offering a convenient approach to maintaining skin health, said Skinbetter Science.
