Woodland Gourmet, a US-based provider of custom culinary solutions, has acquired Sevillo Fine Foods, focused on chef-inspired, ready-to-eat frozen ingredients, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition aims to enhance Woodland Gourmet’s product portfolio and value-added capabilities, strengthening its presence in the food service, retail, and industrial markets.

Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sevillo Fine Foods offers novel culinary ingredients, such as fire-grilled vegetables, slow-roasted tomatoes, pickled vegetables, spreads, and sauces.

Its products are designed to enhance recipes and reduce preparation time for both chefs and consumers.

The company’s innovation and culinary expertise align with Woodland Gourmet’s goal to deliver globally inspired, on-trend custom culinary solutions.

Woodland Gourmet CEO John Buckles said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sevillo Fine Foods into the Woodland Gourmet family.

“Sevillo’s dedication to quality and innovation complements our vision to cultivate authentic, culinary-forward solutions and experiences for the food industry. This acquisition allows us to expand our offerings and better serve our diverse customer base.”

Established in 1989, Woodland Gourmet is engaged in producing speciality ingredients and products for the food service, industrial, and retail sectors.

Its integration with Sevillo is expected to create significant commercial and cross-selling opportunities, particularly within the strategic food service distribution channel.

The combined capabilities of the two companies will enhance the development of custom products and flavours tailored to customer needs.

The acquisition follows Woodland Gourmet’s purchase of Idan Foods in April 2024.

Sevillo Fine Foods owner Jeff Babikian said: “Joining forces with Woodland Gourmet is an exciting opportunity to expand our operations and bring our expertise and award-winning products to a broader audience.

“Together, we seek to offer unique customer solutions enabled by a diverse portfolio, enhanced capabilities, and the same unwavering commitment to quality and flavour.”
